Newsletter | 14th October 2022

Welcome to The Sydney Russell School newsletter This week I would like to highlight the amazing work of our staff across the school. The first half of the autumn term is always particularly challenging…in truth the second half of the autumn term isn’t much different! It’s a long term, with a lot going on to get the year off to a really great start, which we know ensures our children are in the right frame of mind for learning and achieving. I couldn’t ask more of the teachers and support staff across the school – they work tirelessly to make SRS the best it can be and, without them, what we are trying to achieve for our young people – our vision of levelling the playing field and unlocking potential – just wouldn’t be possible. I would also like to thank the parents and members of our school community who frequently take the time to thank their child’s teachers, LSAs and support staff – it really means a lot to us all to hear those kind words, especially when it’s a very busy time. As we gradually near the end of the half term, we are able to look back on an incredible six weeks – the children have settled back with positive learning habits, making great progress in lessons and immersing themselves in school life. A reminder that next week is a shorter week for students as school is closed to students on Friday 21st October for staff training. School is then closed for the half term holiday and will reopen, at normal times, on Monday 31st October. Have a lovely weekend. Mrs Cross Read the full newsletter here
